Importing item from excel in Marg Books

OVERVIEW OF ITEM IMPORT FROM EXCEL IN MARG BOOKS-Importing item from excel in Marg Books

• Marg Books has provided a very beneficial provision in the software through which the user can easily import the data of multiple items through excel at a single point of time. This saves a lot of the time as there is no need to create each & every item in the software. 

• The user can import different details of an item along with its HSN Code, Product’s Company Name, Purchase Rate, etc.

• Along with it, the user can also maintain the data of items on the basis of predefined templates provided in Marg Books.

• Click on 3 horizontal lines (as shown below) and select ‘Download Template’ option.

PROCESS TO IMPORT ITEM FROM EXCEL IN MARG BOOKS

• Go to Master >> Inventory Master >> Item. 

• An item list window will appear.

• Then click on the menu bar (as shown below) and select the 'Download Template' option.

• An Export window will appear.

• In ‘File Name’ field, mention the name of the file/template to be exported.

• Suppose mention 'Item List'

• Then click on ‘Save’.

• Now the template will get downloaded with the necessary details of the item i.e. Name of the product, Company, HSN code, rates, etc.

• Enter the item data in the downloaded file. 

• Suppose we are mention the name of the product to be imported in the software i.e. Becosule, Betnesol, etc.

• Now again click on the 3 horizontal lines (as shown below) and select ‘’.

• The directory window will get open. Select the file which has been downloaded from the software.

• Suppose select ‘Item List’.

• Click on ‘Open’.

After following the above steps, the products will get imported in the software.
